INTRODUCTION

The Senior Scientist Award is the most prestigious award of ISSI. It shall be awarded to a senior canonical solid state ionicist who has made outstanding contributions to the science and engineering of solid state ionics. This biennial award consists of a special Plenary Talk to be delivered by the Awardee at SSI-24, London, UK; an ISSI Life Membership; complimentary SSI meeting registration; travel assistance of up to $3,000 to support participation in the meeting at which the award is presented; and an award certificate. Please note that the award will not be given in a year in which there is no appropriate candidate.

 

NOMINATION/SUBMISSION INFORMATION

(i) Nominator and Nominee Information
Full name, date of birth, affiliation, mailing address, email address, telephone number of nominator and nominee.
(ii) Nominee’s CV
Nominee’s CV is not exceeding 2 pages.
(iii) Citation
The citation will summarize the Nominee’s major contributions to the field of solid state ionics within 100 words at maximum.
(iv) Publication list
1-page list of representative publications relevant to solid state ionics will be provided.
(v) Citation Profile
The nominee’s citation profile, from e.g. Web of Science or Google Scholar.
(vi) Endorser information
Full name, affiliation, mailing address, email address, telephone number of two endorsers.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

The ISSI Awards Committee will determine the 2024 ISSI Senior Scientist Award recipient. Presentation of the Award will be made at the closing ceremony of SSI-24 on July 19, 2024. The decision of the ISSI Awards Committee is final and no further inquiries will be entertained.
